Master's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:Requires authorization to perform restricted activities under ACSW. 3-5 Years prior experience in an acute and/or community mental health setting. Experience providing therapy and psychosocial interventions essential (individual and group). Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting required. Solid interpersonal communication skills, interviewing techniques and writing skills required. Formal training or practical experience utilizing CBT, DBT, Group Psychotherapy, Family therapy &/or other endorsed forms of therapy is required. In-Depth knowledge of mental health / Mental Illness required. NVCI. Experience working with a mandated and/or forensic population.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience providing Sexual Offender treatment in an inpatient or community setting is strongly preferred. Experience in a Forensic mental health setting preferred. Experience providing Sexual Offender treatment in a community setting preferred. Current CPR an asset. Current working knowledge of Sexual Offender risk assessment tools preferred. ATSA certification preferred. Experience working within a correctional institution & or with a forensic population preferred.
