Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

Additional Required Qualifications:

The successful incumbent will show proficiencies in the following areas: Interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain collaborative working relationships with members of the interdisciplinary team. Self-direction and independent decision making, sound clinical judgment and critical thinking skills. Time management and prioritization skills, with a demonstrated ability to function effectively within a dynamic and challenging environment. Effective communication with a patient and family centered focus. Demonstrates problem solving, critical thinking and conflict resolution skills. Creating innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Demonstrates commitment to and participation in activities which promote professional and personal growth and development. Actively integrates patient and family centered care principles into own clinical practice. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the values of AHS – compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and safety. Required qualifications include: Minimum 6 months experience in an Emergency Department setting with the last 2 years. Minimum 1 year experience in acute care in the last 3 years.
