Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Manager of Pediatric and Adult Community Audiology, ENT Clinic, Calgary Voice Program and MDR, this Social Worker II position will primarily support the Community Audiology Service at the Richmond Road Diagnostic Treatment Centre. Working alongside Audiologists and Therapy Assistants, the Social Worker II provides assessment and consultation to clients using and seeking cochlear implant technology. Consultation support is also provided to various team members (community and onsite) and the clients/families accessing Community Audiology services.

Description:

As a Social Worker II, you will be a member of an inter-disciplinary team and provides a range of social work services to patients and their families. Your services may include: psychosocial assessment, resource-based interventions, individual, group and family treatment, risk screening, counselling, case management and coordination, transition or discharge planning, and prevention, promotion and public awareness activities.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience working in an ambulatory/outpatient setting Experience supporting a multidisciplinary team Experience navigating and documenting within Connect Care Proficient in Microsoft Applications Strong understanding of Family Centered Care Self-directed and able to work independently Excellent time management and prioritization skills Effective communication and command of the English language

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Social Work 3 years’ experience in an ambulatory/outpatient setting Quality Improvement Experience
