Social Worker II
Your Opportunity:
Based out of our Melcor Centre, Lethbridge office, this Social Work II position is part of the dynamic Audiology and Children’s Allied Health program serving the southwest zone. Our multidisciplinary team consists of Occupational Therapy, Audiology, Social Work, Physiotherapy, Speech Language Pathology and Therapy Assistants who provide service to a pediatric population birth to 18 years. Our pediatric program follows the AHS Rehabilitation Model of Care with a primary focus on birth to 6 years of age, with limited services for those aged 6 thru 18. The successful incumbent will show proficiency in the following areas: Interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain collaborative working relationships with members of the interdisciplinary team. You must be self-directed and able to work independently, demonstrate excellent time management and prioritization skills. Effective communication and family centered focus is a necessity for this role. Your services may include: psychosocial assessment, resource-based interventions, individual, group and family treatment, risk screening, counselling, case management and coordination, transition or discharge planning, and prevention, promotion and public awareness activities. Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of Child Development and a strong commitment to Family Centered Care. Demonstration of critical thinking and problem solving skills is essential. Strong time management and organizational skills are necessary. The successful candidate will have proven oral and written communication skills to facilitate working cooperatively and effectively with other health care team members, community agencies, children, and their families/caregivers. Connect Care experience is an asset.
