Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:Basic Cardiac Life Support-Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) through Heart & Stroke Foundation. Clinical work and/or practicum in an adult cancer care setting, palliative care, hospital setting, home care or outpatient clinics. Experience providing virtual care. In-depth knowledge and experience of advance care planning, income security programs, housing, and support services. Experience providing supportive counseling, grief, and loss support. Demonstrated skills in assessment, intervention, system navigation and case management. Effective time management, self-direction and initiative are required. Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Proficient with electronic medical systems (e.g.Connect Care) and Microsoft Suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) Within the last year, experience working in Cancer Care Alberta and/ or providing support in an adult oncology acute care setting. Experience developing partnerships / collaborations within and across organizations. Experience facilitating groups.
