Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 2 years’ experience working as an RSW in inpatient and/or outpatient healthcare settings. Current Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification is required. Able to act quickly and decisively using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze facts, consider the impact, and determine a sound conclusion. Strong professional judgment, initiative, and effective time management skills are necessary to prioritize and complete assigned tasks. Ensure concise, timely and accurate communication with team, patients and families. Experience with actively and positively contributing to an interdisciplinary team is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:A Master of Social Work degree (MSW) is an asset. Knowledge and ability to use computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) and experience with Connect Care is preferred. Experience with relevant legislation including Personal Directives Act, the Adult Guardianship and Trusteeship Act and complex placement processes is an asset.
