Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of 1 year experience in an Oncology setting. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical setting (acute/ambulatory/community care). BCLS (CPR) certification required WHS - Musculoskeletal Injury (MSI) Prevention. WHS - Office Ergonomics. Within the last 2 years, working experience of the Patient Financial Assistance Program (PFAP), and other financial assistance requests. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high volume outpatient clinic and treatment setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High degree of competency working with patients who are experiencing emotional distress and life-threatening illness, grief and loss. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures using a supportive, non-judgmental approach. Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications:EPIC/Connect care experience. Experience in providing virtual care Authorization to perform restricted activity of Psychosocial Intervention. Non-violent crisis intervention training and crisis intervention skills would be considered an asset. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ability to be flexible and adaptable with work.
