To support this goal, Addiction and Mental Health Fort McMurray has an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker, Child & Youth. The Child and Youth, Community Addiction and Mental Health program provides specialized assessment and treatment services to children, adolescents and their families. The Addiction and Mental Health child and youth team works collaboratively as a multidisciplinary team providing care of children experiencing serious emotional, psychological, behavioral and/or psychiatric illness. This opportunity is located within Fort McMurray, which resides on Treaty 8 territory, the largest treaty by area in the history of Canada. This role aims towards supporting individuals within Treaty 8 and surrounding areas. Creating a safe space for all individuals. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, Recovery Alberta currently has a Fort McMurray Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $12,480. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

As a Social Worker II, you will be a member of an inter-disciplinary team and provides a range of social work services to patients and their families. Your services may include: psychosocial assessment, resource-based interventions, individual, group and family treatment, risk screening, counselling, case management and coordination, transition or discharge planning, and prevention, promotion and public awareness activities.

Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
