Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Basic Cardiac Life Support- Healthcare Provider (BCLS HCP). Communication skills to work cooperatively and effectively with the healthcare team members, clients, and their families in a fast-paced environment. Responsible to maintain active registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) throughout the duration of employment. The successful candidate will work independently in Supportive Living Facilities and in the community. Therefore, the successful candidate must be able to work in different settings, environments and weather conditions, as well as be able to lift and carry medical bags, which weigh approximately 25-30 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education or training in mental health or geriatrics is an asset. Meditech and Connect Care experience. Recent experience working in the community with older adults who have complex needs.
