Required Qualifications:

Minimum of a master's degree in a health-related field or a bachelor’s degree with several years of relevant clinical and leadership experience. Progressive leadership experience in health care including 5 years’ experience in a leadership or management role in health care. Active membership in an applicable professional association. Experience working in rural health within the last 5 years.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Strong communication, organizational, critical thinking and influential skills, with a client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire other to achieve common goals. Proven ability to foster partnerships and strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to meet community’s health care needs and achieve organizational goals. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within a clinical operational environment. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development.


Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills. Ability to identify, plan, and implement quality improvement projects and deliver customer-focused results. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with communities, public agencies, government, committees and other partners. Solid understanding of rural health and generalist practice.
