Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Evidence of: strong interpersonal and communication skills, initiative, flexibility, dependability in organizing and carrying out duties, thoroughness and attention to detail. Evidence of pleasant manner in relationships with patients, physicians, staff and public. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing and organize workload within a dynamic work environment. Ability to handle heavy or awkward items (lifting, transferring, carrying), and withstand considerable walking or standing. Preference in hiring will be given to applicants with recent Service Worker I experience working in the OR followed by those with Service Worker experience or experience working in an OR.
Preferred Qualifications:Ability to remain calm while dealing with competing, time-sensitive priorities. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all patient information and health records. Ability to identify own strengths and weaknesses and showing initiative for improvement. Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others and accept change.
