Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

This is a front line position that supports a multidisciplinary team to ensure the flow of patients through the clinic. Recent Service Worker experience in an outpatient clinic area or acute care surgery area required for handling of surgical instruments. Knowledge of surgical instruments required. From MyLearning Link completion of the following modules: Waste Management Module 1 and 2; WHIMIS. Able to recognize and maintain confidential information. Proven interpersonal skills and cooperative attitude. Ability to work as a team member required. Required to take direction and give direction to team members, liaison between physicians, other health care professionals. Must demonstrate ability to work independently, have sound analytical reasoning, be a critical thinker, be self-directed, to problem solve and having exceptional organization skills. Required to be able to stand, walk, bend and transfer patients throughout a shift, must be able to move up to 50-75 pounds on a frequent basis. Integrates AHS missions and values in your work philosophy.

Preferred Qualifications:

This is a front-line position that supports a multidisciplinary team to ensure the flow of patients through the clinic. Knowledge of computer applications such as MS Outlook, MS Word is an asset.
