Minimum of a Master’s Level Degree in a Health Profession – Allied Health or Nursing – or other Health/Social Services oriented profession. Active practice license & professional registration, as appropriate to the discipline. Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in pediatric health care. Minimum 5 years’ experience working with families whose children are medically complex. In-depth understanding of the unique needs faced by children with complex medical needs and their families – and direct working knowledge of the services that support these children (both tertiary level and community). Minimum 1 year experience in health care practice consultation, leadership or professional development in an organization of significant size, complexity & diversity. Extensive experience in Project & Change Management, Quality Improvement & Evaluation. Strong systems thinking, navigation, organizational, interpersonal, verbal, & written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across systems & levels of organizations.
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience with Consumer Engagement & Child Youth & Family Centered practice & philosophy. Demonstrated understanding of the principles of Patient/Child & Family Centered Care & their significance to overall child & family experience is essential for this project. Strength & experience in virtual collaboration. Demonstrated resilience & ability to thrive in a changing culture. Able to work flexible hours to meet the service demands as they develop. Engagement of consumers of care (families & children/youth) as well as providers will be an expectation for this work. Ability to work independently & with confidence with minimal supervision. Well-developed communication (verbal & written), presentation & group facilitation skills. Knowledge base of community agencies, systems, supports to support parents/caregivers of children with medical complexity. Demonstrated expertise & knowledge about the impact of chronic stress & complex illness on the family unit. Ability to demonstrate a track record of developing trust through transparency, consensus building, teamwork & collaboration. Excellent analytical & evidence-based decision-making skills. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, & build solid relationships & partnerships with public agencies, government, committees & other partners.
