Required Qualifications:

Post secondary degree specializing in accounting or related field (e.g. economics, statistics).

Additional Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting, financial analysis, or financial management experience and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. They will demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to interpret complex financial information, identify risks and opportunities, and provide well-supported recommendations. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are required, including the ability to communicate financial information clearly to diverse audiences and build effective working relationships. The successful candidate will be self-directed, able to work independently with minimal supervision, exercise sound judgment, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and apply a strategic, systems-thinking approach. Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to contribute effectively as part of a collaborative team are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates holding a professional accounting designation or an MBA are preferred. Experience in health care or the public sector is highly desirable, as is experience providing financial advice and decision support to senior leaders. Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting is considered an asset. Experience leading process improvement initiatives, developing financial models or business cases, or coaching colleagues in financial processes is also an asset.
