Your Opportunity:

The Contract Performance Monitoring Office (CPMO) works to ensure Albertans receive the right health care services, at the right time, in the right place, provided by the right health care providers and teams. This is achieved by supporting Provincial Health Agencies and Provincial Health Corporations by monitoring contractor compliance with the terms and conditions of their service agreement(s). The Senior Data & Reporting Analyst plays a crucial role in the CPMO by gathering information from various sources and transforming raw data into meaningful insights thereby helping the division make informed decisions. Focusing on report design and visualization, coupled with extensive experience in statistics and data analysis, the Senior Data and Reporting Analyst will show their expertise in transforming data into information. They will also support the development of business intelligence systems to store reporting data through their familiarity with business analysis and data warehousing concepts and tools.

Description:

Creating Reports and Visualizations: Uses business intelligence (BI) tools and software (in particular Tableau and Tableau Prep) to plan, design, build, and implement unique reports and data visualizations for contracted service industries. Data Analysis and Interpretation: Uses raw data to create reports for management teams. Pulls data from various sources, organizes and analyzes it, and identifies trends, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement. Data Integrity Auditing: Performs regular audits to ensure the accuracy, consistency, security, and quality of data across platforms and databases. Advisory: Uses expertise and recommendations to guide the design and data structure for automated reporting systems and tools. Identifies areas of opportunity / enhancements for current data gathering, data modeling, data management, data storage, and reporting processes. Makes recommendations for automation functions to streamline manual processes. Participates in process improvement activities, identifies current and future requirements for continual improvement. Planning & Development: Collaborates with stakeholders to design, develop, implement and continuously improve the existing contracted service provider performance management program to provide consistent and effective service excellence to stakeholders and end users and contracted service providers.

Required Qualifications:

A degree in one or more of the following: Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Sciences, or a related field (statistics, math, engineering). Extensive experience with Tableau and/or Power BI. Proven experience in designing and implementing dashboards using data visualization tools. Proven experience with data administration, automation, and data management. Solid understanding of basic programming languages. In-depth knowledge of data management software, data operations, and analytical tools.

Exceptional data analysis and research skills. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain data accuracy. Excellent organizational skills. Continuous learning through workshops or seminars on the latest data management practices is common, ensuring Senior Data & Reporting Analysts stay updated on industry standards and technologies.
