Required Qualifications:

Graduate degree in Health Sciences, Nursing or Business Administration. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in program management, leadership, change management or clinical education. Oncology and or palliative care experience. Demonstrated pattern of professional and personal development.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated strategic and organizational leadership skills. Well-developed organizational skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Flexible, creative and able to adapt easily to a changing environment and various personalities. Experience in program management and applying project management methodology. Ability to use best practices and knowledge of internal and external partners to improve products or services. Excellent interpersonal, coaching skills, negotiating, facilitation and written/verbal communication skills. Able to work as part of a team and independently and knowing when to seek guidance in complex, sensitive or ambiguous situations. Excellent computer skills including expert user knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint. Ability to summarize literature or data in a relevant and meaningful way. Proven effective communication and presentation skills, analytical skills, critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

CNA Oncology Certification (CONc) or Certification in Hospice Palliative Care (CHPCC). Three to five years of recent clinical oncology or palliative experience. Familiarity with the Alberta health care system, within Acute care, Cancer Care and primary care. Experience in program management and applying project management methodology. PROSCI change management certification.
