Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a Master’s or research based degree in a health related field. A minimum of 8 years experience in strategic planning, quality improvement, knowledge management or research and/or management in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is preferred (healthcare experience an asset). Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications:

In addition, the incumbent will possess a record of accomplishment in the following areas: Extensive knowledge of the health system. Demonstrated working knowledge of quality improvement, research. methods, systematic reviews and critical appraisal skills. Demonstrated writing skills. Demonstrated knowledge in project management and change management methodologies. Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services; ability to relay or explain complex issues or difficult situations. Demonstrates critical thinking – interprets organization/external industry challenges and recommends best practices to improves processes or services. Ability to work independently with guidance in only the most complex situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant certification (i.e. Certified Health Executive, PROSCI, Project Management Professional (PMP), Healthcare Project Management, Certified professional in Health Information Management Systems, Research Project Management, etc.).
