The People Experience (PX) team within Health Shared Services (HSS) is seeking an exceptional individual to join a collaborative team delivering strategic, people-focused solutions across Alberta’s health system. Using an integrated, systems-based approach, the team partners with organizations to support culture, engagement, change management, organizational development, and performance through coordinated, client-centered services. Reporting to the Director, People Experience, this position contributes to high-priority initiatives that enhance the people experience across the health system, including orientation design, culture and people strategies, engagement and recognition initiatives, leadership support, development conversations, and integrated service delivery approaches that strengthen organizational effectiveness and employee experience. You are a strategic, adaptable professional who thrives in complex environments and balances strategy with execution. You bring strong systems thinking, project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate ideas into practical, actionable solutions while managing competing priorities. Description:
This position supports key initiatives shaping the future of people experience across the health system. The Senior Advisor partners with leaders, HR teams, and system stakeholders to develop and deliver integrated, people-centered strategies, programs, and services that strengthen organizational effectiveness, culture, engagement, recognition, change management, leadership development, workforce planning, and continuous improvement. Working across the broader People Experience portfolio, this role contributes to high-priority initiatives including orientation strategy and design, culture and people strategies, performance and development conversations, engagement measurement and action planning, everyday engagement practices, recognition and appreciation initiatives, and integrated intake and service coordination. The role supports the design and implementation of modern, consistent, and strategic approaches that enhance employee experience, strengthen leadership capability, and improve organizational effectiveness across the health system. This role requires a strategic, systems-focused professional who can balance strategy and execution while supporting complex organizational needs and driving meaningful impact.

Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, combined with a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in an advisor, consultant, or generalist capacity, ideally within a large, complex organization. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Strong communication, organizational, relationship-building, and client service skills, with demonstrated leadership, project management, problem-solving, and change management experience. Proficient in MS Office. Proven ability to manage competing priorities, build effective stakeholder partnerships, and lead initiatives within complex, fast-paced, and preferably unionized environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPHR or other relevant designation preferred; healthcare experience and exposure to clinical or physician environments considered an asset. Certifications in project management, change management, and coaching are also considered an asset, as well as experience in communications.
