Your Opportunity:

Pharmacy Services is seeking a skilled Sr Technical Writer, to join our Pharmacy Connect program. This is an exciting initiative that will transform Pharmacy Services through the implementation of a centralized distribution model for Central and North Zones. Reporting to the Director of Projects, you will use your business skills and technical acumen to plan, coordinate, develop and evaluate a library of technical and operational documents that support the project streams within Pharmacy Connect. You will collaborate with Subject Matter Experts in gathering and analyzing information, existing documents, and other relevant sources primarily pertaining to pharmacy operations in current and future state. Note: There are (2) positions available.

Description:

As a Senior Technical Writer, you will be responsible for establishing templates and standards, partnering with vendors, leaders, architects, project managers, business analysts, operational teams and subject matter experts to translate complex technical concepts into plain language documents; documents that will support the Pharmacy Connect Leadership team in planning, decision-making, business operations and service management for the Central Production Facility – North Sector. Much of your efforts will be focused on capturing or updating business process workflows, tables, SOPs, and training materials for the new facility.

Required Qualifications:

You have achieved a Bachelor’s degree in computing sciences, engineering, or a communications-related discipline, with specific coursework in technical writing. You have 6 to 8 years’ experience in producing technical documents in an IT or software implementation environment, with at least 2 years at a senior level, demonstrating a strong working knowledge of business process mapping and information technology. You have experience working in a healthcare organization of significant size/complexity.

Additional Required Qualifications:

You are accustomed to working in a dynamic, geographically distributed team, where partnership and collaboration are paramount. You are quick to learn with the ability to gain a basic understanding of a variety of pharmacy related topics. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to express your work in a clear, cohesive fashion. You are results-oriented and accustomed to tight deadlines and changing priorities. You are constantly thinking of improving and establishing a seamless user experience for documentation. You possess a broad portfolio of completed technical documents. You are a strong group facilitator with solid interview/ discovery skills. Most importantly, you are inquisitive and possess a keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in technical or professional business writing.
