A Baccalaureate degree in health, health promotion or related field, or relevant equivalent experiences.
Additional Required Qualifications:
More than 5 years’ experience in a leadership role with urban and/or rural FNMI people, communities or Indigenous organizations. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Working knowledge of the healthcare system. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including presentations and facilitation. Effective and strong organizational skills. Effective and demonstrated persuasion and influence. Client-focused with a commitment to providing quality services. Proven ability to foster partnerships, establish and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, include public agencies and government. Understanding of the politically sensitive nature of working with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in healthcare or related field. Healthcare administration experience. Existing and proven connections to Indigenous communities in the Calgary Zone. As a bona fide occupational requirement, and under Section 11 of the Alberta Human Rights Act, only Indigenous applicants will be considered. Please ensure you are identifying as Indigenous.
