Active or eligible for registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:The required qualifications are a graduate of a recognized School of Respiratory Therapy, has passed the CBRC exam, and holds active registration in good standing with the CRTA. They must maintain current BLS-HCP certification with annual proof. A minimum of five years of acute care experience within the past seven years is required, including recent work in a tertiary acute care teaching hospital. The candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently. Leadership experience in change management within complex healthcare settings is essential, along with a clear record of professional development. The candidate should be knowledgeable about best practices, governance, legislation, ethics, and current trends in respiratory therapy. Strong communication skills and the ability to lead teams, build partnerships, and resolve complex issues are also required.
Preferred Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have preferred experience in governance document development, registration with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists, and a related degree or degree preparation. Preferred qualifications include training in quality and process improvement, change management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Oracle, and SharePoint, along with demonstrated leadership in managing change within complex healthcare settings.
