Active or eligible for registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy. Minimum of 5 years of 0.5 FTE or greater experience as an RRT within the last 5 years. Current licensure with CARTA. Experience in the last 2 years in a Level II or III NICU with an ability to demonstrate competence with neonatal intubation and case room management. Level II/III NICU case room and intubation competency. Current NRP. Charge RRT experience within the last 2 years. Current BLS-HCP Certification required. The following physical requirements: Being on one’s feet for extended periods of time (walking and standing). Transporting, lifting and positioning of patients. Able to bend, lift, push and pull equipment. Exposure to infectious diseases, and hazardous situations for which they are trained.
Preferred Qualifications:Prior leadership experience and/or leadership training courses. Current PALS/ACLS. Current NRP/BLS/ACLS/PALS instructor certification. Current Adult/pediatric intubation and arterial line insertion certifications. Prior involvement with quality improvement initiatives or other committee work.
