Required Qualifications:

Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current BCLS-HCP. Valid Class 5 drivers license and access to a vehicle in good working condition for professional use. Physically capable of lifting, pushing and/or pulling a minimum of 4.5kg. A minimum of 5 years critical care experience. Knowledge of home mechanical ventilators and their clinical application. High level of skill in the critical review of patient medical records. Excellent case and workload management skills. Excellent independent and collaborative working skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective, professional and respectful working relationships with team members, leadership and stakeholders. Excellent computer skills with proficiencies in Microsoft Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat.

Preferred Qualifications:

ACLS, NALS, PALS certification(s). 10 years or more of critical and/or community care experience. Advanced knowledge of current in-use acute care ventilators. Project management, change management certification. Certification, participation and experience in the following: Project management. Change management. Working groups. Quality improvement.
