Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Current BLS-HCP. A minimum of 2 years of Registered Respiratory Therapist experience with recent acute care and critical care experience. Ability to perform the following physical requirements: being on one's feet for extended periods (including walking/standing), exposure to infectious diseases, and hazardous situations for which they are trained; being able to assist in transporting, lifting and positioning of patients; be able to bend, lift, push, and pull equipment up to 20 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:Preceptor experience with respiratory therapy students. Relevant Degree. Previous experience working as a RRT in an OR environment. Competency in performing adult Intubation & Arterial Line Insertion. Competency in using POCUS for arterial line insertion. Completion of Anesthesia Assistant training program. Previous experience working as an anesthesia assistant. CCAA designation. Current ACLS, NRP, and PALS certification.
