Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduation from a recognized Respiratory Therapy Program. Successful completion of the National Respiratory Certification Exam as administered by the College of Respiratory Therapy (CRTA) or the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapy (CSRT). Basic Cardiac Life Support-Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). Certified Respiratory Educator (CRE) or current enrollment in required courses (such as: COPD educator, Asthma educator, Chronic Disease Management). Demonstrated clarity in your communication, organization and consistency of ideas, both verbally and written, including clinical documentation, is required. You must be highly motivated, confident, and enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude whose work aligns with AHS Values. You act quickly and decisively using critical thinking and problem-solving skills. You utilize strong judgment by analyzing facts, considering the impact, and arriving at a sound conclusion, seeking counsel when appropriate. You can work independently and as a part of the team creating strong, effective interpersonal working relationships with peers and other caregivers. You are a reliable worker who uses time effectively and is able to prioritize and complete assigned tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:Certified Tobacco Educator (CTE) or current enrollment in required courses (such as: Alberta quits learning series or chronic disease management educator). Previous Experience with quality assurance initiatives within a department.
