Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in a health or science related field. Registration with applicable professional association or college where required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, Minimum of 3 years of current experience in financial management, within research, academic, or healthcare environment.. Demonstrated expertise in research finance, including the development and management of clinical trial budgets, financial analysis, and contract or grant administration. In-depth knowledge of institutional and sponsor financial policies, regulatory compliance, and best practices in research finance. Proficient in financial management systems and advanced Microsoft Excel, with a strong ability to analyze, report, and optimize financial data. Possesses hands-on experience with the OnCore Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS),, and a thorough understanding of Alberta Health Services (AHS) financial policies, procedures, and processes. Experienced in navigating the University of Alberta Research Ethics and collaborating with pharmaceutical sponsors and clinical research organizations (CROs). Proficient in the administration of participant payments, including the use of Greenphire and My ClinCard, ensuring accurate and compliant disbursement for study visits. Exceptional attention to detail, analytical ability, and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of clinical trial regulations and guidelines (ICH-GCP training, Health Canada and FDA).
