Your Opportunity:

The Department of Cancer Epidemiology and Prevention Research (CEPR) is seeking a casual/hourly Research Associate based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The Research Associate will work within an established research support team that currently includes several MSc-trained epidemiologists and statisticians, database managers and data support specialists, systems analyst, grant administrators and research assistants.

The department of Cancer Epidemiology & Prevention Research (CEPR), in collaboration with the Otipemisiwak Métis Government research team, is seeking to hire a Research Associate who will work with experienced qualitative team members to conduct a thematic analysis of data from two focus groups.

Required Qualifications:

Formal training in thematic analyses from qualitative studies. Experience carrying out thematic analyses including with becoming familiar with the data and creating initial codes, clustering the codes and grouping them into themes, review analysis and consulting on the final report. Know and utilize Métis Ways of Knowing.


Additional Required Qualifications:

BSc or BA and at least some graduate studies at the Master's level (completed or in progress).


Preferred Qualifications:

Preference for applicants who are Métis, including MNA Citizens.
