Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, you must complete the following free courses: CRNA Medication Management (Chapters 1-4), available at https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/learning-and-development/learning-modules/ and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification, available at https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271.

Additional Required Qualifications:

2 Minimum years recent experience in an urban adult PACU or intensive care (ICU). Strong ECG interpretation knowledge. Experience in the following areas: Caring for intubated patients; working with central and arterial lines; assisting with inotropes/vasoactive medications; & experience with caring for post-surgical in-patients. Availability to work weekends as this is a weekend worker schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience at SHC PACU. Experience with ETCO2 monitoring. Experience caring for post C-section patients. ACLS preferred. Connect Care experience preferred.
