Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 1 years’ bedside nursing experience (within the last 3 years) in acute care medical nursing. Demonstrated commitment to collaborative practice. Demonstrated accountability, critical thinking, interpersonal and communication skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous Charge Nurse Experience in an acute setting preferred. Previous experience in working with Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM). Previous experience in working with general internal medicine and/or oncology population Experience in working with Core elements of COACT an asset. Recent discharge planning experience an asset. Central Venous Catheter/ Patient controlled analgesia certification preferred. Recent Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training and It's Your Move.
