Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:The candidate has demonstrated ability to perform and document physical assessments. Has a demonstrated ability to administer medications within the acute care setting. The candidate must possess excellent critical thinking skills re clinical judgment and problem solving. Recent experience in an acute care setting at full scope of practice is required. Ability to work as a member of a team and to request and accept direction as required. Candidate must possess effective interpersonal communication skills. This environment is suitable for candidates who have certification in a relevant specialty area, Charge Nurse Experience and past leadership training.
