Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Not currently in a regular full-time or regular part-time position with AHS.
Preferred Qualifications:Graduate with a Baccalaureate of Nursing between September 2020 and September 2021 from an approved school of nursing. These positions are supernumerary in nature until such time as the TGN is determined to be ready to independently assume the full scope of RN or RPN practice or a maximum duration of 9 months. The TGN will be required to apply for available vacancy positions of no less than .5 FTE and may work as relief once they are determined to be ready to practice independently.
