Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, you must complete the following free courses: CRNA Medication Management (Chapters 1-4), available at https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/learning-and-development/learning-modules/ and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification, available at https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA) / College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Minimum of 3 years of relevant mental health experience. A minimum of 3 years direct crisis experience, preferably in a community setting. Formal clinical training in triage, intervention, stabilization and case management skills, preferably in a community setting. Ability to ambulate, climb stairs, and move quickly without limitations in a variety of environments. Extensive knowledge of the resources of Addiction and Mental Health and the community. Possession of a valid Class 5 driver’s license as work-related travel is required.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree Nursing.
