Completion of an accredited Psychiatric nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:This position has been identified and is anticipated to transition to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of verbal de-escalation techniques. Working Knowledge of Psychotropic medications. Experience in AMH assessment tools including but not limited to the Mental Status examination. Experience in various risk assessments i.e. Suicide risk, Homicidal risk, violent risk. 6 months of Addictions and Mental health experience within the last 3 years. New grads who have completed a final preceptorship in an Addiction and Mental Health site may be considered.
