Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of Peri-Operative course or equivalent OR experience required. Experience in an acute care Surgical Suite required. Ability to perform consistently in a highly organized and rapid moving environment required. Ability to stand scrubbed from many hours supporting the surgical team. Basic computer skills required. Ability to collaborate within the expectations of a integrated team. Demonstrates advanced problem-solving skills integrating critical thinking and good judgment. Preferred Qualifications:Experience in an acute care Surgical Suite with Arthroplasty Hip and Knee surgeries preferred. Canadian Nurses Association Peri-operative Certification (CNA) preferred.
