Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Proven ability to function in acute care nursing unit within the last 2 years. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Critical thinking and problem-solving solutions. Ability to contribute as a team member, learn within a dynamic environment and adapt/cope with change. Demonstrated excellent time management and organization skills. Ability to manage the job classification of “heavy physical demand” level as per the AHS Job Demands Summary.
Preferred Qualifications:Proficient with SCM and clinical documentation standards. Willingness to participate in the research initiatives of Ward of the 21st Century. Candidates with previous experience on Unit 36 or a unit of comparable acuity/patient population are strongly preferred.
