Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

The candidate must have at least 5 years of nursing experience with a minimum of 2 years of community nursing experience including 1 year of recent Home Care nursing experience providing case management and nursing interventions. A valid Driver’s License and a vehicle in good repair. Ability to lift 30 lbs. You will be required to operate a laptop computer and mobile phone, and for manual handling (lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing and pulling) as a regular part of the job Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) from Heart and Stroke Foundation within the last 12 months.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Experience working with acute clients and/or long term clients with a focus on chronic disease management; Experience providing case management, client teaching and professional nursing interventions including but not limited to Home Parenteral Therapy (HPT), wound care, ostomy care; Experience supporting vulnerable clients those requiring palliative, mental health and/or addictions support. Level 2 McMaster AHS Case Management education an asset.
