Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain collaborative working relationships within the interdisciplinary team. Be self-directed and exercise decision making, sound nursing judgement and critical thinking skills. Exhibit strong time management and prioritization skills, with a demonstrated ability to function effectively within a dynamic environment. Demonstrated skills and experience with immunization and/or communicable disease databases. Exhibit effective verbal and written communication skills. Comprehensive knowledge of the Alberta provincial immunization program, schedule and immunization program standards.
Preferred Qualifications:Five years of Public Health Nursing or related experience. Knowledge of communicable disease control.
