Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.

Additional Required Qualifications:

To ensure your skills and qualifications are considered please attach a resume and cover letter with your application Must the able to work to full scope of practice (physically, mentally and emotionally) on all medicine units. Must be able to work within posted position rotation and shifts. Must be able to push, pull and lift at least 50 lbs. Basic computer and email skills required Experience working within an acute care practice setting within the last year required or a recent graduation from a recognized nursing school within the last year Other key competencies for this role include: Interpersonal, organizational and assessment skills Ability to maintain effective working relationships with the interdisciplinary team Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with team members Ability to adapt quickly to changing and fluctuating workloads and work conditions Accountability, critical thinking, time management and communication skills Ability to respond to new needs in the role as they arise, with initiative and self-direction

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a casual or float position preferred Experience working within the CoACT framework preferred Order Processing and Transcription experience preferred Charge Nurse experience preferred IV Certification preferred Ventilator skills preferred
