In this role, you will deliver comprehensive, person centered care within a supportive LTC setting. You will complete and update assessments, including interRAI LTCF, develop and implement care plans, and monitor changes in residents’ health to promote comfort, safety, and quality of life. You will support residents with complex and chronic needs, provide clinical leadership, administer medications safely, and collaborate closely with LPNs, Health Care Aides, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team. This position offers continuity of care, allowing you to truly get to know residents and make a sustained impact. It requires strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision making skills. You will oversee Health Care Aide assignments, coordinate daily workflow, mentor staff, and support a consistent standard of care. You will also contribute to team collaboration, resolve concerns, and ensure care plans are followed and updated as needed. Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the past five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required prior to employment: CRNA Medication Management (Chapters 1-4): https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/learning-and-development/learning-modules NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification: https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to accurately complete interRAI Long Term Care Facility (LTCF) assessments at required intervals while maintaining ongoing competency and adherence to best practices. Strong understanding of Continuing Care Health Service Standards (CCHSS) with a commitment to maintaining required education and ensuring care delivery aligns with established standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience or training with Connect Care in a Continuing Care (Facility Living) environment, with the ability to access and utilize relevant nursing workflows. Experience working in Long Term Care and/or rural healthcare settings. Proficiency in using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other Microsoft applications to access information, support communication, and collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
