Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. Additional Required Qualifications:Understands and can apply case management principles as it relates to client transition through the continuum of care. Excellent interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, organizational, critical thinking decision making, time management and assessment skills as it relates to seniors. Able to work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team in a fast paced, non-sedentary nursing role. Demonstrated ability to perform all duties in accordance with related legislation. Must be physically able to perform all aspects of the position: walk a minimum of 3 Kilometers per shift, including stairs while carrying up to 25 lbs.; tolerate bending, lifting, twisting in accordance with the move safe training for client transport/lift/transfer & reposition while using equipment such as lifts, wheelchairs, walkers, etc. Must be able to provide physical assistance to clients and physically able to intervene to ensure client safety. Required to perform up to 4-6 hours of written and electronic documentation per shift. Computer experience including MS Office (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams). Successful candidate external to ISFL must be able to commit to full-time 5 consecutive weeks orientation.
Preferred Qualifications:Recent community experience (1 year experience within the last 3 years) in geriatrics, dementia care, behavior management, care planning and providing case management services in seniors’ population with ISFL experience preferred.
