Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the past five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required prior to employment: CRNA Medication Management (Chapters 1-4): https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/learning-and-development/learning-modules NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification: https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Recent Labour and Delivery experience in an urban L & D setting (minimum 6 months within the last year) required. Current Fetal Health Surveillance education within the last 3 years required. Current NRP required. Demonstrated motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team. Demonstrated effective time management, communication, and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated strong organizational and patient‑teaching skills. Demonstrated skill in the principles of patient‑ and family‑centered care. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment, including but not limited to stretchers and hospital beds with patients. Ability to participate in patient positioning and transfers. Preferred Qualifications:

Charge Nurse experience. Operating Room experience. L&D Triage/OTAS experience. Antepartum experience. Demonstrated professional development and/or participation in quality improvement initiatives. Consideration will be given to new graduates who have completed their senior practicum on a Labour and Delivery unit.
