Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the past five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required prior to employment: CRNA Medication Management (Chapters 1-4): https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/learning-and-development/learning-modules NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification: https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271.
Additional Required Qualifications:Recent experience (within the last 2 years) in Women’s Health Outpatient Clinics or relevant acute care experience in Gynecology or Women’s Health. Must be willing to undertake RN Prescribing Certification course in support of potential program expansion. Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a healthcare team environment. Demonstrated effective time management, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient with Connect Care and Netcare. Ability to adhere to policies and procedures and legislated requirements regarding confidentiality. Up to date ROL Modules. Demonstrated ability to manage wellness at work. Physically able to perform all assigned tasks: assisting patients with limited mobility to transfer to and from exam table (lift greater than 50 pounds), walking, standing and/or sitting for extended periods, squatting.
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. National Continence Advisor certification. Demonstrated advanced clinical interview, assessment, and education skills with a focus in women’s health. Licensed RN Prescriber.
