Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the past five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required prior to employment: CRNA Medication Management (Chapters 1-4): https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/learning-and-development/learning-modules NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification: https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Active CRNA registration. Emergency experience greater than 6 months and/or Obstetrical experience greater than 9 months. Previous medical inpatient experience. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Effective communication skills. Able to work independently and collaboratively. Demonstrated strength in working collaboratively with diverse cultural populations and marginalized populations with socio-economic diversities. The Nurse requires the ability to tolerate constant walking, standing, kneeling, bending, reaching, and sustaining posture within a fast-paced unit requiring lifting, pushing, pulling of objects greater than 50lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Rural Acute Care and/or Rural ER experience within the last six months. Current ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, PALS, CTAS, More OB, Fetal Health Surveillance, Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification. Current Non-Violence Crisis Intervention (NVCI). Previous ED or L&D Charge Nurse experience. Previous Preceptor experience.
