Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

Full Registration with respective regulatory College under the Health Professions Act. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Minimum of 3 years of relevant mental health experience, preferably in a community setting. Knowledge and experience with mental health assessment. Knowledge and experience treating individuals experiencing addiction (substance and/or process). Ability to ambulate, climb stairs, and move quickly without limitations in a variety of environments. This candidate will be able multitask and effectively manage multiple priorities and demands with a large caseload. This candidate will have a good working knowledge of legislation regarding mental health care including the Alberta Mental Health Act and Community Treatment Orders (CTO).

Preferred Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge of the resources of Addiction and Mental Health and the community. A strong understanding of client resources in the community and knowledge of mental health legislation including Community Treatment Orders is an asset.
