Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:Acute care experience within the past 2 years (students with preceptorship or practicum experience in acute care will be considered equivalent). Must be able to perform repetitive physical duties that include walking long distances, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching above shoulder, and able to lift a minimum of 20 kg. Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively maintain collaborative working relationships with members of the multidisciplinary team. Exhibit strong time management and prioritization skills, with a demonstrated ability to function effectively within a dynamic environment. Work to full scope as a Registered Nurse. Exhibit leadership skills, including mentorship/coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrate ability to manage change and adapt to changing workflows. Demonstrate a commitment to and participation in professional growth.
Preferred Qualifications:Charge training and experience or willingness to be trained and take on the assignment. Experience in administering systemic treatment (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, cellular therapy). Experience working with the elements of CoAct and collaborative care. Palliative certification and/or experience. Experience with Clinical Trials. Experience with Connect Care.
