Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current ACLS certification Required (From the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation). At least one-year recent (within the last year) adult acute care nursing experience as an RN or LPN. Recent (within the last two years) nursing experience in Emergency or Urgent Care clinical settings. Ability to work in a stressful, rapid paced, dynamic environment required. Demonstrated critical thinking skills, including clinical judgment and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills required. Ability to work independently and interdependently. Demonstrated strength in developing collaborative, effective working relationships with clients of cultural diversity and socio-economic diversity. Ability to lift/push/pull at least 50 pounds, bend, reach, stand for long periods of time and work in confined/awkward spaces.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced certifications (PALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC). Recent NVCI training, CTAS training, and recent triage experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Department setting. Recent charge nurse experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Department. Proficiency working with Connect Care (EPIC) ASAP module.
