Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current certification for IV, defibrillation, NRP, and BGM. Minimum one-year Emergency Room experience preferred. Demonstrates ability to work in a highly acute, very busy multi-disciplinary setting. Must demonstrate organization, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills. Emergency Department experience in a rural setting preferred. The successful applicant will assume unit leadership and charge responsibilities consistent with their level of experience. Evidence of integrity, initiative and sound judgment. Demonstrate commitment to professional development. Ability to function effectively in a team environment. Excellent interpersonal and team communication skills. Must be committed to promoting a positive work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred ACLS, TNCC. Rural Acute Care experience.
