Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:Current registration with College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) required. Physical ability to perform CPR on adults. Experience in case management of persons with infectious disease such as Hepatitis, HIV, and sexually transmitted diseases required within 2 years. 2 years current RN experience in the ambulatory setting. Current Immunization certification required.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor Degree in Nursing. Current Experience with Connect Care documentation, referral coordination, Microsoft Word and Outlook preferred. PAP training preferred. Experience with STI testing and treatment preferred. Experience with crisis intervention is an asset. Desire to work with vulnerable and marginalized populations. Experience working with immigrant, refugee populations, Indigenous people is an asset. LGBTQ2S familiarity is an asset. Cultural Competency training is an asset.
