Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

3 - 5 years recent experience in acute inpatient or outpatient psychiatry, ideally with patients who have an eating disorder and their families. Experience in group therapy. Experience dealing with the medical complications that could arise with eating disorders and be able to provide treatment as directed, assess potential difficulties, and respond to medical emergencies. Must have skills in psychiatric, and medical assessment and crisis intervention. Strong team skills, initiative, motivation, and self-starter. Excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain collaborative working relationships with patients, families, and multi-disciplinary team members. Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team. Currently this rotation is day shifts, Monday to Friday. Hours vary to support day treatment and outpatient services.

Preferred Qualifications:

Clinical experience working with eating disorder patients and their families. Clinical experience dealing with the medical complications that could arise with eating disorders and be able to provide treatment as directed. Experience with various concurrent disorders, such as Anxiety, Depression, etc. Strong computer skills are an asset. Connect Care training preferred.
