Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:Excellent time management and prioritization skills with a demonstrated ability to function effectively within a dynamic environment. Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills. Actively integrate patient and family centered care principles within own Nursing practice. Understanding of CoACT and collaborative care in the acute care setting.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working within a Surgery acute care practice setting within the last 2 years preferred. Experience working in a surgery float pool position or the RAH surgery float pool, working on multiple units preferred. Experience working within the CoACT framework preferred. Order Processing and Transcription experience preferred. Charge Nurse experience preferred. IV Certification preferred.
